Hebrews questions and answers bible study

Hebrews concentrate He ch 1God who at sundry ? Times and in diverse manners spake in times past unto the fathers by the prophets Has in these last days ? Spoken unto us by his son Whom ? He has appointed heir of all thingsBy whom ? Also He made the worldsWho being ? The brightness of his glory And? The express image of his personAnd ?

Upholding all things by the word of his power When He had ? By himself purged our sins Sat ? Down at the right hand of the majesty on high Being made ? So much better than the Angels By ? Inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they And of his angels ? Who makes his angels spirits a d his ministers a flame of fire But unto the son? Your throne o God is forever and ever A ? Sceptre of righteousness is the Sceptre of your kingdomThe heavens ? Are the work of your hands The heavens ?

Shall wax old as does a garment And as a vesture ? You shall fold them up They shall be changed ? But you are the same and your years shall not fail Angels are they not all ? Ministering spirits sent forth to minister tho thee who shall be heir of salvationHe ch 2We ought to ? Give the most earnest heed to the things which we have heard Lest ? At any time we should let them slip For if the word ?

Spoken by angels was steadfast And? Every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of rewardHow shall we ? Escape if we neglect so great salvationWhich at the first ? Began to be spoken by the Lord God bearing them ? Witness both witj signs and wonders and diverse miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit He ch 3Holy brethren ? Partakers of the heavenly calling Consider Jesus ? Who was faithful to him that appointed himAs also ? Moses was faithful in all his houseFor this men Jesus ? Was counted worthy of more glory than Moses As ? He who has built the house is has more honour than the house Christ is faithful ? Over his own house His own house ? Whose house are we If we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end Harden not your hearts? As in the provocation in the day of temptation on the wilderness When your father's ? Tempted me proved me saw my works 40 years Wherefore i was ? Grieved with this generationAnd said ? They do always err I their heart and they have not known my ways So I sware? In my wrath they shall not enter into my rest Take heed ? Lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God Lest any of you ? Be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin For we are made ? Partakers of Christ If ? We hold fast the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end With who was he grieved forty years ? Was it not with them that had sinned whose carcasses fell in the wilderness To whom sware he ? That they should not enter into his restBut ? To to them that believed notThey could not enter ? Because of unbelief He ch 4Let us therefore ? Fear lest a promise being left us of entering into his rest Any of you ? Should seem to come short of it But the word preached ? Did not profit them Not being ? Mixed with faith in them that heard it For we which have believed ? Do enter into his test They to whom it was first preached ?

Entered not because of unbelief Today if you will ? Hear his voice harden not your heart He that has entered into his rest ? Has ceased from his own works as God did from hisLet us labour ? To enter Into that rest Left any men ? Fall I to the same example of unbelief For the word of God is? Quick and powerful And ? Sharper than any two edged sword Piercing even ? To the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow

And is a ? Discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart Neither is there any ? Creature that is not manifest in his sight But all things ? Are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do For we.jave not ? An high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of infirmitiesBut was ? In all points tempted like as we are yet without sin Let us therefore ? Cole boldly before the throne of grace That we may ? Obtain mercy and find grace in time of need He ch 5For every high priest ? Taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God That he may offer ? Both gifts and sacrifices for sins Who can have compassion ? Ok the ignorant and them that are out of the way For that he ? also is compassed with infirmities He ought? For the people and for himself to offer for sins Though he were a son ? Yet learned he obedience by the things he sufferedJesus called of God an? High priest after the order of Melchizedek Of whom we have ? Many things to say and hard to be uttered Seeing ? Ye are dull of hearing For when for the rime ? You ought to be teachers You have need ? That one teach you againAnd are before such ? As have need of 'milk and not of strong meat For everyone that uses milk? Is unskillful in the word of righteousness for he is a babeStrong meat belongs ? To those who are of full age Those who by reason ? Of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil He ch 6For it is impossible ? For those who were once enlightened And have tested ? Of the heavenly gift and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit And have tested ? Of the good word of God And the powers ? Of the world to come If they shall ? Fall away to renew them again unto repentance Seeing ? They crucify to themselves the son of God afresh and put him to n open shame That which bears thorns ? And briars is rejected and nigh unto to cursing whose end is to be burned For God is not unrighteous ? To forget your work and labour of love which you have showed toward his name We desire that everyone of you ? Do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope I to the end That you be not ? Slothful but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promisesFor when God made ?

Promise to Abraham ? Surely i will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply you After he had ? Patiently endured he obtained the promise God willing? More abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel confirmed it by an oath That by two ? Immutable things in which it was impossible for God to lie We might have ? A strong consolation who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us Which hope ?

We have as an anchor sure and steadfast And which enters ? Into that within the veil Wither the ? Forerunner is entered even Jesus made an high priest for ever after the order of MelchisedecHe ch 7For this Melchisedec ? King of Salem, priest of the most high God who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings blessed him To whom? Abraham gave the tenth of all First being ? By interpretation king of righteousness and after that also king of Salem which is king of peace Without ? Father , without mother, without descentHaving neither ? Beginning of days nor end of life But made ? Like unto the son of God Abides? A priest continually Now consider ? How great this men was Unto whom? Even tbe patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoilsThe sons of levi? Who receive the office of the priesthood Have a ? Commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law Though ? They come out of the loins of Abraham But he? Whose descent is not from them received tithes of Abraham and blessed him that had the promisesAnd without ?

All contradiction the less is blessed by the greaterAnd here ? Men that die receive tithes But there ? He received them of whom it is witnessed that he lives Levi who received ? Tithes payed tithes in Abraham For he was ? Yet I. The loins of his father when Melchisedec met him If therefore perfection ? Were by the levetical priesthoodWhat further need? That another priest should rise after the order of MelchisedecAnd not ? After the order of Aaron. For the priesthood being changed ? There is made of necessity a change also in the law It is evident that our Lord ? Sprang out of Judah Of which tribe ? Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood It is far more evident ? For that after the similitude of Melchisedec there arises another priest Who is made ? Not after the law of a carnal commandment But after the power ? Of an endless life For the law ? Made nothing perfect But the ? Bringing of a better hope didBy which ? We draw nigh unto God But Jesus because ? He continues forever has an unchangeable priesthoodHe is able ? To save them to tje uttermost That ? Come unto God by HimSeeing ? He ever lived to make intercession for them Who is ? Holy, blameless, underfilled. separate from sinners and made higher than the heavens Who needs not daily ? To offer up sacrifices first for his own sins then for the people For this ? He did once the. He offered up himself For the law makes men? High priest which have infirmityBut the word of the oath? Which was since the law Makes ? The son who is consecrated forevermore He ch 8We have such? a high priest Who is set ? On the right hand of the throne of the majesty in the heavensA minister ? Of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord pitched and not men For every high priest ? Is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices It is of necessity ? That this men Jesus ? Have somewhat also to offer If he were on earth ? He should not be a priest Priest offer gifts ? Who serve into the example and shadow of heavenly things But now has he obtained ? A more excellent ministryHe is the mediator ? Of a better covenant Which was established ? Upon better promises Of that first covenant had been faultless ? Then should no place have been sought for the second For this is the covenant that I will make ? I will put my laws in their mind and write them in their heartsI will be ? To them a God And they shall ? Be to me a people For i will be ? Merciful to their unrighteousness And their ? Sins and iniquities will i reminder no moreA new covenant ? He has made the first old Now that which decays ? And waxes old is ready to vanish away He ch 9The candlestick and the shewbread ? Which is called the sanctuary The second veil ? Which is called the holiest of all Which had ? The golden censer the ark of the covenant Where was ?

The golden pot that had manna , Aaron rod that budded , and the tables of the covenant And over it ? The chérubins of glory shadowing the mercy seat Into the second went? The high priest alone once every year not without blood Which he offered ? For himself and for the errors of the people The way of the holiest of all ? Was not manifest ? While as the first sanctuary was yet standing Which was a figure ? For the time yet present In which ? We're offered? Both gifts and sacrifices That could.not make him ? That did the service perfect As ? Pertaining to the conscience Which stood ? Only in meets and drinks and diverse washings And ? Carnal ordinances imposed on them until the time of reformation But Christ being ? Come an high priest of good things to come By a? Greater and more perfect tabernacle Not ? Made with hands that is to say not of this building He entered in once ? Into the holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us For if the blood of bulls? Sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh How much more ? The blood of Christ Who? Through the eternal Spirit Offered himself? Without spot to God Purge your conscience ?

From dead works to serve the living God For this cause ? He is the mediator of the new testament That by means of death ? For the redemption of transgressions That were ? Under the first testament They which are called? Might receive the promise of eternal inheritanceFor when Moses had spoken saying ? This is the blood of the testament that God has enjoined unto you And without shedding ? Of blood there is no remission It was necessary ? That the pattern of things in the heavens should be purified with these But the heavenly? With better sacrifices than these For Christ is not entered ? Into the holy places made with hands Which are the ? Figures of the true But ? Unto heaven itselfNow to appear? In the presence of God for us Not yet? That he should offer himself often As the high priest ? Entered i to the holy place every year with the blood of others .Form then must he? Often have suffered since the fondation of the world As it is appointed for men ? Once to die after that the judgment So Christ ? Was once offered to bear the sins of manyAnd unto them that look for Him? Shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. He ch 10For the law ? Having a shadow of good things to come And not ? The very image of the things Can never ? With the sacrifices they offered make.the comers perfect For it is. Impossible ? That the blood of goats and bulls should take away sinsIn burnt offerings and sacrifices ? You had no pleasure But this men ? After he had offered one sacrifices for sins for ever Sat down ? On the right hand of God For.henceforth expecting ? Till his enemies be made his footstool For by one offering ? He has perfected forever them that are sanctified This is the covenant that I will make?

I will put my laws in their hearts and in their minds will i write them And their ? Sins and iniquities will i remember no more Having therefore boldness? To enter into the holiest through the blood of Jesus By a new ? And living way which he has consecrated for us Through the veil? That is to say his flesh Let us draw? Near with a true heart in full assurance of faith Let us hold? Fast the profession of our faith without wavering For ? He is faithful that promisedAnd let us ? Consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works Exhorting ? One another so much the more as we see the day aproaching For if we sin ? Wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth there ? Remains no more sacrifice for sins But a certain ? Fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation. Which shall ? Devour the adversairiesHe that despised Moses law ? Died without mercy unto 2 or 3 witnesses Of how much ? Sorer punishment He who has ? Trodden under foot the son of God And has counted ? The blood of the covenant an unholy thing And has done ? Despite to the Spirit of grace Despite ? Outrage injury contempt disdain For.we know him that said ? Vengeance belongs to meI will? Recompense said the Lord And again ? The Lord shall.jidge his people. It is a fearful ? Thing to fall into the hands of the living God But call to remembrance ? The former days In which ? After you were illuminated you endured a great flight of afflictionsWhile you were made a ? Gazing stock both by reproaches and afflictions Cast not away ? Therefore your confidence which has great recompense of reward For you have need ? Of patience that after you ha e done the will of God you might receive the promise For yet a little while ?

He that shall come will come and will not taryYou are not of them ? That draw back But of them ? That believe to the saving of the soulHe ch 11 Faith is the ? Substance of things hoped for The evidence ? Of things not seen For by it ? The elders obtained a good report Through faith ? We understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God So that ? Things which are seen were not made of things which do appear Abel obtrained witness ? That he was riggteousBy his gifts? Yet being dead he speaks By faith Enoch ? Was translated that he should not see death And was not ? Found because God had translated him Before his translation he ? Had this testimony that he pleased God Without faith ? It is impossible to please Him For he that comes to God ? Must believe that he is and that he is a rewarded of those who diligently seek him By faith ? Noah being warned of things not seen as yet Moved with ? Fear prepared an ark to the saving of his house By the which ? He condemned the world And became ?

Heir of the righteousness which is by faith By faith Abraham? Obeyed and went out not knowing whither he went By faith ? He sojourned in the land of promise as in a strange country For he looked ? For a city which has fondations whose builder and maker is God Therefore sprang there ?even of one and him as good as dead so many as the stars of the sky in multitude These all died in faith ?

Not having received the promises but having see them afar off And we're ? Persuaded of them and embraced them and condensed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth For they that say ? Such things declare plainly that they seek a country Of they were mindful ? Of that country wence they came out They might ? Have had opportunity to have returnedFor God is not ashamed? To be called their God For he ? Has prepared them a city On isaac? Shall your seed be called Accounting? That God was able to raise him up even from the deadBy faith Isaac? Blessed Jacob and Esau By faith Jacob? When he was a dying blessed both the sons of JosephBy faith Joseph? When he died made mention of the departing of the children of Israel By faith Moses ? When he was born was hid three months by his parents Because? They saw he was a proper child and we're not afraid of the kings commandmentBy faith Moses ? When he was come to years refused to be called the son of pharaoh s daughter Chosing ? Rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season Esteeming ? The reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt For he had ? Respect u to the recompense of the reward By faith he forsook Egypt ? Not fearing the wrath of the king for he endured as seeing him who is invisible Through faith he ? Kept the passover and the sprinkling of blood Lest? He that destroyed the first born should touch them By faith they passed ? through the red sea as by dry land Which the Egyptians ? Tried to to were drownedBy faith the walls ? Of Jericho fell down After they compassed about ? Seven days By faith the harlot ? Rahab perished not with them that believed not When she had ? Received the spies in peaceFor the time would fail me to tell of ? Gédéon, Barak, Samson, jephtae , david, Samuel Who through faith ? Subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness , obtained promises, stopped mouth of lions Quenched ? Violence of fire , escaped the edge of the sword , out of weakness were made strong , waxed valiant in fight ,turned to flight the armies of the aliensWomen received ? Their dead raised to life again Other were ? Tortured not accepting deliverance that they might obtain a better resurectionAnd others ? Had trial of cruel mocking and scourgingThey were ? Stoned , sawn asunder , tempted, slained with the sword , wandered about with sheep skin and goat skins Being ? Destitute afflicted tormented Of whom ? The world was not worthy They wandered in? Deserts, mountains, dens, cavesThese all having ? Obtained a good report though faith received not the promiseGod having? Provided some better things for us That they ? Without us should not be made perfectHe ch 12Seeing we are compassed ?

About with so great a cloud of witnesses Let us ? Lay aside every weight and the sin which does so easily beset us And let us run ? With patience the race that is set before us Consider him ? Which endured such contradiction of sinners against himself lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds You have not resisted ? Into blood striving against sinMy son despise not the ?Chastening of the Lord nor faint when you are rebuked of himFor whom the Lord ? Loves he chasteneth and scourges every son he receives If you endure chastening ? God deals with you as with sons For what son is he ? Whom the father chasteneth not But if ye be without chastisement ? Then are you bastards and not sons We have had fathers? Of our flesh which corrected us and we gave them reverence Shall we not much rather ? Be in subjection unto the Father of spirits and live For they verily? For a few days chastened us after their own pleasure But he ? For our profit that we might be partakers of his holiness No chastening ? For the present seems to be joyous but grievousAfterward ? It yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness u to them which are exercised therebyLift up ? The hands that hang down and feeble kneesAnd make ? Straight path for your feet Lest that which ? Is lame be turned put of the way but let it rather be healed Follow peace? With all men and holiness without which no men shall see the Lord Lest any root? Of bitterness springing up trouble you and thereby many be defiled As essay? Who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright Afterward? When. He would have inherited the blessing he was rejected For he found ? No place of repentance Though ? He sought it carefully with tears For you are not come ? Unto the mount that night be touched and that burns with fire Nor unto? Blackness and darkness and tempest And the voice of ? Words which voice they that heard intreated That the ? Word should not be spoken to them anymore For.tjey could not? Endure that which was commanded And if so much ? As a beast touch the mountain it shall be stonned or thrust through with a dart And so terrible ? Was that sight that Moses said I exceedingly fear and quake But you are come ? Unto mount Sion Unto the city ? Of the living God the heavenly Jerusalem And to an? Innumerable company of angels To the general ? Assembly and church of the firstborn which are written in heaven And to God ? The judge of all and to the spirits of just men made perfectAnd to Jesus ? The mediator of the new covenant and to the blood of sprinkling That speaks ? Better things than that of AbelSee that you refuse ? Not him that speaks For if they escaped not ? That refused him that sake on earth Much more ?

Shall we not escape if we turn away from him..that speaks from heaven Whose ? Voice then shook the earth Yet once more ! I shake not the earth only but also heavenYet once more signifies ? The removing of those things that are shakenThat those things ? That cannot be shaken may remain We receiving a kingdom ? That cannot be moved Let us ? Have grace whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear For our God ?

Is a consuming fire He ch 13Let brotherly ? Love continue Be not forgetful ? To entertain strangers For thereby ? Some ha e entertained angels unawares Remember them ? That are in bonds as bound with them Them which suffer adversity ? As being yourself also in the body Let your conversation ? Be without covetousness Ans be ? Content with such things as you have For he has said ? I will never leave you nor forsake you We may boldly say ? The Lord is my helper i will not fear what men can shall do unto me Jesus also ? That he might sanctify the people with his own blood suffered without the gate Let us go forth ? Unto him without the camp bearing his reproach For here have we ? No continual city but we seek one to come By hm let us offer ? The sacrifice of praise to God continually that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name But to do ?

Good and to communicate forget not For with such ? Sacrifices God is well pleased Obey them ? That have rule over you For? They watch for your soulsAs they? That must give account Pray for us ? For we trust we have a good conscience in all things willing to live honestly Now the God ? Of peace that brought again from the dead our lord Jesus that great shepherd of the sheepThrough ? The blood of the everlasting covenant Make you ? Perfect in every good work to do his willWorking in you ? That which is well pleasing in his sight through Jesus Christ EARTHLASTDAY.COM
